With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet preparing to release in November, fans are quickly pouring over every bit of information released by Nintendo and Game Freak so far. As a result, one fan has found a significant detail in the most recent Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer that could show exactly how the Poke Balls work in-game.
This latest detail was first shown by Reddit user josh123z, who posted a screenshot from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer that freezes at just the right moment to catch a Poke Ball in action. The actual shot only lasts for a single frame, meaning that the effect shown might be closer to an animation error than a planned way to see Pokemon and Poke Balls interacting with each other.

The specific screenshot is taken from the moment that the trainer Nemona throws out a Poke Ball and starts what appears to be the first battle against the new Pokemon Pawmi. In this particular frame of the footage, the Pawmi can actually be seen inside of the Poke Ball as it opens, growing to full size behind the smoke and light animation before it lands on the ground. This view only lasts for a single frame, making it difficult to catch on a normal viewing without parsing through the footage frame-by-frame, looking for similarly tiny details.
Given that the detail is only visible during a single frame, this is likely less of an intended detail and more of a load happening a little too fast and showing the Pokemon right before the animation starts.
