A Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild player recently came across an invisible lava puddle out in the middle of the vast open world of Hyrule. Lava is just one of the many different hazards Link braves in his latest quest to gather the ancient Champions of Hyrule and save the kingdom from the threat of Calamity Ganon, but it is usually confined to certain volcanic areas like Death Mountain and Eldin Canyon.
However, one thing fans have learned in the nearly five years since The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild first launched on the Nintendo Switch to near-universal acclaim is that pretty much anything is possible in the world of Hyrule. Players have uncovered many interesting tricks and details within BOTW, such as how sheep will huddle together when it rains and how the Yiga Clan will steal BOTW’s powerful Obliterator weapon. Various glitches have also resulted in Link being temporarily distracted from a battle against a pair of Guardians by a mischievous Korok, and an enemy Lizalfos was seen spinning around like Crash Bandicoot.

Stranger still, the invisible lava puddle seemingly vanishes after Link readies his shield for a moment, being replaced by an equally-hidden puddle of water. Other players in the comment
