Toni Braxton, singer-songwriter and reality star from Braxton Family Values recently shared that she is still in disbelief that her younger sister has passed away. The second oldest of the Braxton sisters, Traci Braxton, passed away on March 12 at 50 years old from esophageal cancer. The news came as a surprise to fans who did not know that Traci was dealing with any form of sickness. Despite being questioned about the weight loss, Traci did not reveal what it was attributed to. Upon her passing, her publicist, Tomasina Perkins-Washington, revealed that Traci had been living in hospice for a year.

While Traci's son and husband shared personal messages about the star, Toni, Towanda, Trina and their mother Evelyn all posted the same message to their Instagram pages. Tamar shared a post at a later date that had a blank screen with the song «Time Machine» by Muni Long playing in the background. After these posts, the family members were mostly silent.
