Warning! SPOILERS for Star Trek: Picard season 2.
Star Trek: Picard's trip back to the 21st century has proved a long-standing claim about Star Trek's replicators. Season 2 of Picard has seen the former Enterprise captain and the crew of the La Sirena travel back to 2024 in order to avert a devastating change to the timeline. Seven, meanwhile, has been able to blend into society in a way that she's unable to in the future. Q's meddling with the timeline has removed her Borg implants, and she can walk around 21st Century Los Angeles without drawing the fearful attention of others. On top of this, the crew have been able to experience a world without replicators, proving an old Star Trek adage in the process.
