A Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player has found an unorthodox way to kill one of the menacing Guardians roaming Hyrule. With Breath of the Wild now five years old, many players have sought new and unusual ways to play while waiting for news of its sequel.
The idea of fighting a Guardian is a terrifying thought for a new player of Breath of the Wild. Their tough armor, unerring gaze, and punishing laser beams make a Guardian one of the most challenging mobs in the game to defeat. Nevertheless, by the end of the game Guardians are just another enemy. Strategies to fight them are slowly developed; cutting their legs off, learning the timing of their attacks, and even parrying the laser itself for those players with good timing. Fighting Guardians becomes mundane in its own way, as it does for any monster given enough time. At this point, players can find themselves trying to find the best, most entertaining way to defeat BOTW's enemies, instead of the most practical.
