The developer of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team, is seemingly just as confused as the rest of us as to why we haven't had any news on the game since its initial announcement.
After more than a decade of the series being dormant, Konami finally promised to bring Silent Hill back in a big way last year by announcing a number of new projects, including a brand-new game called Silent Hill: f, a remake of the beloved Silent Hill 2, and some more experimental projects like Silent Hill Ascension.
One Silent Hill project that Konami didn't announce is Silent Hill: The Short Message, which was presumed to be cancelled but has continued to pop up here and there over the last year.
With that last game turning out to be a total disaster, Silent Hill fans have nervously turned their attention to the rest of the confirmed projects that Konami announced last year. So far, though, aside from Steam updates, we've heard literally nothing about the Silent Hill 2 remake since it was first revealed.
That lack of information for such an anticipated project has worried Silent Hill fans in 2023, with many wondering what's taking so long and why we're not at least getting updates of some kind on its progress. Well, as it turns out, Bloober Team seems to be just as confused as the rest of us, as it's pinned the blame on Konami and pointed out that it's not up to the developers to share news.
Over on Twitter, Bloober Team announced that all of its major games are taking part in an Autumn sale on Steam.
