Throughout the story, many terms will appear in distinct red text. These are typically Japanese words and phrases left untranslated due to their deep-rooted cultural importance and overall context. Even if you're fluent in Japanese, it's wise to click on these and swing by the game's main menu periodically for a refresher.
The reason we recommend this is that there will occasionally be instances in which vital plot-related information is revealed. At the time, it may seem like little more than momentary minutiae, but everything in Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei exists for a reason, and Shanao will need all the textbook terminology she can get in order for players to make informed decisions when it counts.
