Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates has revealed that he uses Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3 as his daily driver instead of Microsoft's own Surface Duo 2. Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last year as a successor to the Galaxy Fold 2. The device is part of the Galaxy Fold lineup that debuted back in 2019 with the original Galaxy Fold. While that device suffered from multiple reliability issues related to its folding screen, Samsung worked hard on that aspect over the past few years, ensuring improved reliability and durability for each succeeding generation.
With the Galaxy Z Fold 3 becoming one of the most successful folding smartphones in history, Samsung is now working on its successor, the provisionally-named Galaxy Z Fold 4. The new device is expected to largely retain the same design and form-factor as its predecessor, with a 6.2-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch main display. It is also said to ship with an improved in-display camera compared to the existing model. Reports also suggest that the Z Fold 4 might cost less than the Z Fold 3 as part of Samsung's plans to take folding phones mainstream.
