A new Palworld update has reached Xbox consoles, as well as the PC version of the game distributed via the Microsoft Store. Identified by version number 0.2.0.6, this release adds the first-ever raid boss to Palworld, on top of introducing dozens of other novelties.
Pocketpair's monster-taming survival RPG was released in early access on January 19, having debuted on Steam and the last two generations of Microsoft's consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox versions of Palworld currently have two major disadvantages compared to their Steam counterpart; one, dedicated multiplayer servers are currently not available to users outside of Valve's platform. Secondly, Palworld Xbox updates are consistently lagging behind the Steam version of the RPG.
But the wait for Palworld update 0.2.0.6 proved to be fairly short for Xbox users, with the game's newest patch already reaching Microsoft's gaming ecosystem on April 9, just five days following its Steam debut. The highlight of this release is Bellanoir, the game's very first raid boss, which is meant to provide the ultimate combat challenge for players. The update includes two versions of Bellanoir, both of which can be battled by building a Summoning Altar and then crafting slabs from Bellanoir's Slab Fragments, new kinds of drops that can be obtained from treasure chests in Dungeons, Mineshafts, and on Wildlife Sanctuary islands.
The patch has also introduced some new issues, including an odd bug that prevents Palworld players from placing eggs in incubators. Pocketpair previously confirmed it's working on resolving this problem as soon as possible. In the meantime, the glitch can be circumvented by simply rebuilding any incubator that refuses to accept an egg.
