The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian has been called out by many people for the weight loss comments she made at this year's Met Gala, and now The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel shared some of her strong opinions regarding those comments. Bethenny previously starred in eight of RHONY's thirteen seasons and, on top of being a TV personality, has also earned various titles such as author, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She proves that she lives up to those titles as the RHONY star recently raised over $25 million for Ukraine thus far, and she also continues to be a voice who speaks out about injustices in the world. Because of this, it's clear she believed Kim's recent Met Gala comments were harmful and warranted a public response.
It's also no secret that The Kardashians' whole family has had some iconic Met Gala looks over the years. The reality star was interviewed on the red carpet of the annual event and asked endlessly about the iconic dress she was sporting, which happened to be the infamous gown Marilyn Monroe wore to sing «Happy Birthday» to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. The Kardashian received backlash for the Marilyn dress almost immediately, with some people finding it disrespectful to a historical piece to be worn by the television personality, regardless of whether or not it matched the Met Gala's 2022 theme, «Gilded Glamour.»

But the dress itself wasn't the reason Bethenny had a problem with Kim at the Gala. Rather, it was what the Kardashian said while being interviewed that didn't sit well with her. According to Reality Blurb, Kim was recorded in an interview explaining that she «had to lose 16 pounds in three weeks”
