Lom, Annie’s aunt, called David “slow,” “fat” and “unhealthy” when he tried to hike up the Three Whale Mountain during his trip to Thailand. However, David seemingly didn’t feel insulted by Annie’s aunt’s observation, and instead said that visiting Thailand took him back to a positive place. He sees himself going back to Thailand with Annie in the future. So, when he came back to America after his wakeup call, David took up walking and made it a routine, and also switched to a low-carb diet.
