Below Deck Med: Anastasia Surmava Marries Will Higginson
Anastasia Surmava from Below Deck Mediterranean season 4 married Will Higginson on July 12. Although Anastasia had a short stint on Below Deck Med, it was a memorable one. She started off as the third stew under chief stew Hannah Ferrier and second stew Aesha Scott. While she was pretty green at yachting, Anastasia had a great work ethic and was quick to learn. The third stew had to quickly don a new hat when Captain Sandy Yawn fired Chef Mila Kolomeitseva after continually serving mediocre food. While she wasn’t a chef, Anastasia had some training and revealed that her mom was a pastry chef.
Although Anastasia was proud to step up to the plate, she was relieved when Chef Ben Robinson stepped in and took over. Anastasia went back to her third stew role but later shared that her brief stint in the galley inspired her to go to culinary school. Since Below Deck Med, Anastasia has teamed up with Hannah, and the two yachties started a training course called Ocean International Training Academy, which is designed for those wanting to break into the yachting industry.

This past March, the Below Deck Med alum revealed her surprising engagement to Will, who is a London-based model. On Thursday, Anastasia shared a snap of her and Will on her Instagram page with the caption, “Mr. & Mrs. Higginson! 7/12/2022.” Anastasia wore a white corseted dress with a thigh-high slit, while Will wore a black tuxedo sans jacket. The happy couple appeared to be running on a grassy field, and both were beaming widely.
