Mini PC manufacturer, Beelink, has announced its brand new GTR7 Gaming Mini PCs which come with AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS & Ryzen 7 7840HS APUs.
Beelink's GTR7 Mini PCs come in two flavors, the GTR7 Pro with the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS and the GTR7 with the Ryzen 7 7840HS. Both designs come in a compact chassis that utilizes the MSC tech which is a cooling system that utilizes active fan coolers to blow air towards the main heatsink and push it out through the exhaust vents on the sides of the chassis. The chassis fans allow for a 19% increase in performance compared to a system without them.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS & Ryzen 7 7840HS are the fastest of the Ryzen 7040 "Phoenix" APU family. Both CPUs feature 8 cores, 16 threads, a base clock of 4.0/3.8 GHz (respectively), a boost clock of 5.2/5.1 GHz (respectively), a 40 MB total cache, and an integrated RDNA 3 GPU known as the Radeon 780M with 12 Compute Units operating at up to 2800/2700 MHz (respectively).
While these CPUs have a nominal operating range of 35-45W, Beelink has tuned them to 65W for GTR7 Mini PCs thanks to its advanced cooling system which allows higher TDP and retains the cool APU temperatures.
The Beelink GTR7 Mini PCs with AMD Ryzen 7040 CPUs support up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory in dual-channel design, dual M.2 PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 slots which support up to 2 TB capacities (1 TB and 512 GB pre-installed variants), and adopt a 4+1+1 phase power delivery which is powered by a unique magnet-based charging design that attaches itself to the power connector on the bottom of the Mini PC. In terms of layout, the whole unit measures 6.61 x 4.72 x 1.91 inches making it easy to carry around.
