Viewers were gobsmacked when they learned the next season of The Bachelorette would feature two leads, and Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s double casting is a total game changer for Bachelor Nation. Though fans will have to wait until summer for the start of Rachel and Gabby’s season, there are many signs that this next season will be the most monumental in the history of The Bachelor franchise. After Bachelor Clayton Echard thoroughly shattered their hearts in Iceland, Gabby and Rachel both got the opportunity to confront him on After the Final Rose. Gabby grilled Clayton about being aware of the weight his words hold, and Rachel stood up for herself and called out the way Clayton disrespected both her and Gabby. Clayton seemed uncomfortable and sheepish while he was forced to take his medicine and answer for his many mistakes. But the real mic was dropped at the end of the episode, when host Jesse Palmer revealed that next season both Gabby and Rachel would be Bachelorettes for the entire journey. The two new Bachelorettes looked thrilled, and the audience was even more excited at what this means for Bachelor Nation.

Though there has technically already been a season of The Bachelorette to feature two leads, Gabby and Rachel’s season will be a completely different concept than Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson’s.
