Bachelorette Promo Teases Meatball’s Return After Elimination

In a new promo previewing The Bachelorette season 19 episode 4, the return of James «Meatball» Clark is also shown after he was eliminated during the second rose ceremony last week. Meatball is 25 years old and his occupation is simply listed as a meatball enthusiast. Meatball first made a notable impression on fans during the group pageant, when he poured tomato sauce all over his bare chest in an  attempt to win over Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. His humorous efforts continued when he was assigned to dress up as a baby during the photoshoot group date.

Meatball had stated several times throughout the season so far that he was not yet sure if he wanted to pursue Gabby or Rachel. While he spent time with both women at the photoshoot group date, it did not appear that he was closer to one than the other. However, at the rose ceremony Meatball shocked fans when he declined a rose from Rachel. Meatball informed Rachel that his intentions were set on Gabby, but when Gabby did not offer him a rose he was sent home.

In a new promo posted by The Bachelorette on Instagram, Meatball is seen still pursuing Rachel even though he had been eliminated the prior week. In a post-credit scene that many fans thought was only intended for humor, Meatball asks Rachel to give him a second chance. Rachel may have actually taken Meatball up on his offer, as it seems the two are talking at a cocktail party in the next episode.

While Meatball seems to be getting more time with Rachel, the focus of their conversation does not have anything to do with their actual connection. Instead, Meatball seems to be telling Rachel about something that has been going on with the men.
