Bachelor in Paradise has become a big hit with Bachelor Nation fans since it first premiered, but some franchise stars chose not to appear on the reality series. The show puts former contestants from The Bachelor andThe Bachelorette on a beach together, to try and find love within the group. However, many people have rejected offers to appear on the spin-off. Since BIP premiered in the summer of 2014, many Bachelor Nation alums have made Bachelor in Paradise appearances. Unfortunately, things weren't always smooth sailing down on the beach. Some previous fan favorites got villain edits; however, others did end up getting into relationships on the show. Now, it's time to talk about previous contestants who turned down second (or even fifth) opportunities to appear on the series.

According to US Weekly, after being depicted negatively on BIP season 6, Blake Horstmann got an offer to return to the beach for season 7, but turned it down. He stated that the show wasn't the right environment for him, and that he wasn't in a good place in his life when producers approached him about a second BiP stint. Now, he is appearing on the Paramount+ series All Star Shore, and just confirmed his relationship with co-star, Giannina Gibelli.
Blake is not the only Bachelor Nation alum who has rejected an offer. Demi Burnett, Ben Flajnik, and Peter Weber also rejected offers to film the series.
