Studio Mundfish has today deployed patch 1.4 for Atomic Heart on PS5 and PS4, bringing with it 120fps support for the current-gen version and a whole host of fixes and changes. As long as you own a 4K TV with HDMI 2.1 support, you will now have the option of running the FPS at up to 120fps on PS5. Other updates in today's patch include fixes for some broken Trophies and the ability to resize the HUD and subtitles.
The visuals and audio have also received another pass, with improved shadows and shaders along with better first-person animations where the game broke in the past. Some quests have then been fixed, and now you can loot corpses in the water. Then you've got a better Mass Telekinesis ability to look forward to and improved climbing in corners.
A 6/10 rating was awarded in our Atomic Heart PS5 review, with great visuals and a versatile ability system being its high points. «This mashup of shooter, stealth, and RPG wears its influences proudly but rarely matches them. Its alt-history setting is interesting and there are plenty of ways to approach the robot-killing, but these elements are at odds with messy storytelling and characterisation.» You can find a full list of patch notes for Atomic Heart update 1.4 below.
