Atari buys Surgeon Simulator from TinyBuild
pcgamesinsider.bizUnkillable video game company Atari has acquired the Surgeon Simulator franchise from TinyBuild.
The deal has been done via the firm's newly-revived Infogrames publishing label. No figure has been put on the deal.
The Surgeon Simulator series was created by Bossa Studios back in 2013. That company sold all of its franchises to TinyBuild for a mere $3 million 11 years later in 2022, despite all of them making $6 million in revenue from these properties in 2021. Weird.
“More than 10 years after the release of the original, Surgeon Simulator remains a popular and unique franchise,” Infogrames manager Geoffroy Châteauvieux said.
“This was a rare opportunity to acquire a game with a timeless appeal, and we are excited to have Surgeon Simulator within the Infogrames portfolio.”
