As Season 2 gears up for the highly anticipated return of Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, the new season — also billed as The Book of Carol — has revealed new looks showing both Norman Reedus and McBride getting in on the action.
The franchise veteran made her first appearance in The Walking Dead’s spin-off series during Season 1’s final moments. Reedus’ Daryl Dixon, on the other hand, spent his time in France for the entirety of the first season. Season 2 will then see both TWD alums joining forces.

Daryl Dixon Season 2, which debuted at the Tribeca Festival, is scheduled to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, September 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, consisting of six episodes. In an interview with EW, Reedus also shared that the Season 2 finale “is the best one hour of Walking Dead anything ever.”
“Season 2 picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future,” the synopsis reads.
Based on the comic series of the same name, the horror drama series also stars Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Romain Levi, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Eriq Ebouaney, and Laika Blanc Francard, among others. The series is executive produced by showrunner David Zabel, with Reedus also serving as the producer alongside Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, and Daniel Percival.
