Assassin's Creed Mirage release date has changed, but for once, it's not a delay. Instead, the latest Assassin's Creed installment will be with us a week earlier than intended, launching on October 5.
While Ubisoft hasn't given us a reason, this is likely to avoid clashing with other big releases in October. Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Forza Motorsport and more are launching later in the month, so this change of release date allows Mirage to get ahead of the queue - and gives players some time to beat it before other games take up their time.

This comes as it's announced that Assassin's Creed Mirage has also gone gold, meaning Ubisoft has its release build ready to go. Of course, the next few weeks will be spent getting patches ready, so hopefully, the game isn't compromised by launching earlier than intended
