David Dastmalchian's Kurt Goreshter won't be in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their superhero roles on the heels of the Infinity Saga in director Peyton Reed's upcoming Marvel Studios film, the third in the Ant-Man series. Currently the last named Marvel Studios project on the release calendar, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is expected to hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania plot details are still scarce at this point. Production started in London, and while Reed announced the wrap of principal photography back in November, recent set images of Rudd as Scott Lang in Los Angeles suggest there is still filming to be done. Aside from its titular characters, Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer will also be back as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and Michael Peña's Luis will feature in the film as well.

However, Luis might be the only character from Scott's trio of ex-convict friends who will appear in the project. Speaking with Screen Rant at the Moon Knight red carpet premiere, Dastmalchian confirms that he isn't currently involved in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor doesn't get into specifics as to why he wasn't included, though it sounds like he is still waiting on the call to come back. Despite that, the actor is more than excited about what Reed and the rest of the crew are currently working on. Read his full comment below:
