Two X-Men Villains Just Became Powerful Enough To End The Krakoa Age

The age of Krakoa has brought prosperity and unity to the mutant race, which stands more united and powerful than ever, with the X-Men at the forefront, however, with power also come enemies and none are more dangerous than Orchis and Moira MacTaggert. Orchis is an organization created by top-level scientific minds with the sole purpose of eradicating mutants to preserve humankind. Until now, Orchis' efforts have been chiefly connected to the development of new Sentinels, and they achieved their greatest success in creating Nimrod, the ultimate mutant hunter. A small teaser in X-Men #10 (by Gerry Duggan and Javier Pina), however, shows that the worst is yet to come, as Orchis is about to forge an alliance with the most dangerous enemy of mutantkind, Moira MacTaggert.
Moira has a complicated history, or rather histories. She is a classic X-Men character, created by Chris Claremont for his legendary Uncanny X-Men run, as a romantic interest of Charles Xavier and a leading geneticist and expert in mutant affairs. It wasn't until Jonathan Hickman's relaunch of the X-books in 2019, however, that Moira became such an important character. It was revealed that she is a mutant with a fearsome power: every time she dies, her timeline resets to the moment she was born, and Moira is reborn with full knowledge of her previous lives. This has two very dangerous implications. First of all, Moira has experienced many futures in which the conflict between mutants and humans led to disastrous consequences, and retains that dangerous knowledge.
