The X-Men will travel to the past to save a dreadful villain from one of Marvel's most successful storylines, the Age of Apocalypse. The Marauders team led by Kate Pryde will try to rescue Nemesis, the son of Apocalypse from a grim future timeline where mutants are the dominant species.
After the mutant-exclusive nation of Krakoa was established, the woman formerly known as Kitty Pryde was given command of the Marauders, a group tasked with liberating mutants trapped inside hostile countries and unable to reach Krakoa. Nemesis was killed by Hyperion in his last known appearance but in an upcoming issue of Marauders he will be rescued from the past.
