One classic X-Men character, the power-stealing Rogue, is consistently underrated as a mutant powerhouse, but one scene in X-Men #10 proves once and for all that Anna Marie should never be underestimated. Rogue has shown time and time again that she deserves accolades for her strength, bravery, and ingenuity, and the Krakoan Era is finally allowing her to truly shine.
Rogue has a long and complex history within the Marvel Universe, first appearing as the adopted daughter of Mystique and Destiny — a rebellious teen who actually started out as an enemy of the X-Men. After absorbing Captain Marvel's powers and personality, Rogue started to have a breakdown, so her mothers sent her to Xavier's school to hone her abilities, where she eventually became a major part of the core X-Men team for years to come. Anna Marie has spent much of her life afraid of her power: the ability to leech the life, memories, and mutant abilities away from anyone she touches, and this has limited her ability to act as a consistent team player.
