The events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will permanently change the MCU, director Peyton Reed says. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their roles in the franchise for the first time since the events of the Infinity Saga. Set for a February 2023 premiere, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was among the projects highlighted during the MCU's San Diego Comic-Con 2022 panel.
WithBlack Panther: Wakanda Forever wrapping up Phase 4, Kevin Feige announced that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will kick off MCU's Phase 5 slate during the convention. The event also debuted the first look at the film, with exclusive footage screened only in Hall H. It sees the return of Scott Lang, the Pyms, and Cassie Lang, who is now played by Kathryn Newton. Arguably the most exciting thing to come out of the trailer, however, is the first look at Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror. Not much else was revealed regarding the threequel's plot specifics, and since it's still several months away from premiering, it makes sense that Marvel Studios is holding off on any marketing plan.
