Marvel revealed its Phase 5 plans and the two big events that will close Phase 6 in what is now called the Multiverse Saga, and while they include some exciting movies, the biggest absentee isSpider-Man – so how does he fit into the rest of the Multiverse Saga? After a lot of doubt and speculation over where the MCU’s Phase 4 is heading, as so far most of its movies and TV shows felt disconnected, Kevin Feige cleared everything up during Marvel’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, revealing not just when Phase 4 will end but also the movies and TV shows forming Phase 5 and the two events that will close the Multiverse Saga: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Phase 4 is ending with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with Phase 5 kicking off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will see the proper introduction of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), the big villain of the Multiverse Saga. This new era in the MCU will also see the introduction of new heroes, such as the Fantastic Four and Riri Williams/Ironheart, the formation of an antihero team in Thunderbolts, and the continuation of the stories of some well-established and popular characters… but there are some important names missing from the Multiverse Saga’s plans.

Among those is Spider-Man, who has been a key player in the Multiverse Saga so far thanks to the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he and Doctor Strange accidentally opened the gates to the multiverse and heavily messed with the fabric of space and time.
