Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton, who has taken over the role of the MCU's Cassie Lang, addresses a potential future Young Avengers storyline. Set to have an expanded role in the upcoming Ant-Man threequel, the role of Cassie Lang was recast following the character's most recent appearance in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, which saw Emma Fuhrmann play the character post-Blip. It was later confirmed that Newton would take over the role going forward, with the actor now set to make her MCU debut next year.
A younger Cassie Lang featured fairly prominently in the first Ant-Man installment, which introduced Paul Rudd's titular hero, otherwise known as Scott Lang. However, as the MCU continues to expand its roster of heroes, Ant-Man 3 will re-introduce Cassie to the franchise as her older self, with many excited to see what the future holds for the character. With the recent introduction of other young heroes such as Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop and Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel, speculation has continued to grow that a potential adaptation of Marvel comics' Young Avengers storyline, which sees a team up between Marvel's younger heroes, could be on the horizon.
