Kathryn Newton, who is playing Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, discusses how her character has changed since Avengers: Endgame. Abby Ryder Fortson made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Scott Lang’s 8-year-old daughter in 2015’s Ant-Man before going on to reprise the role in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. Following Scott’s mid-credits scene trip to the Quantum Realm and Endgame’s five-year time jump, teenage Cassie was played by Emma Fuhrmann. Newton inherits the role from Fuhrmann in director Peyton Reed's third Ant-Man film, which is slated for release on February 17, 2023.
In addition to Newton, Evangeline Lilly, Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer are all reprising their roles of Hope van Dyne, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, and Janet van Dyne, respectively. Joining them is Bill Murray in an undisclosed role (rumored to be M.O.D.O.K.) and Jonathan Majors as the Multiverse Saga’s big bad, Kang the Conqueror, who makes his villainous debut following He Who Remains’ appearance in Loki. Now, Newton has opened up about Cassie Lang in Quantumania.
