Spider-Man: No Way Home brought major changes to Spider-Man’s arc, and Spider-Man 4 will finally fix the worst change the Marvel Cinematic Universe made to the character. As one of the most popular and beloved characters from Marvel Comics, Spider-Man was one of the characters the audience wanted to see joining the MCU, and after a long wait, the deal between Sony and Marvel finally made it possible, and so the web-slinger made his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, where he was recruited by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) to join his side of the battle.
After that, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) starred in his first solo movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, before joining the rest of the MCU’s heroes in the biggest battles this universe has seen so far: Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Spider-Man closed the Infinity Saga with Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was also a major shake-up for him as Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spidey’s identity to the whole world. This led Peter to seek Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help in Spider-Man: No Way Home, asking him to cast a spell that would make everyone forget he’s Spider-Man, but the spell was botched and instead caused major chaos in the multiverse by bringing villains from past Spider-Man movies (as well as Spider-Man variants) into the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with Doctor Strange casting a spell that made the world forget Peter Parker, leaving the young man all alone and starting a new life without those closest to him. This is a fresh start for Spider-Man that will finally fix the biggest change the MCU made to the character as it’s finally letting him be a street-level
