star Katy O’Brian recently opened up about the filming process of the third Ant-Man film, something O’Brian revealed was a bit chaotic.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, O’Brian — who played Jentorra, a freedom fighter in the Quantum Realm — reflected on her time on set. According to O’Brian, things were “absolutely chaotic,” with the set getting new notes and updates to filming daily.
“Yeah, that was absolutely chaotic,” O’Brian said. “I think we were getting new pages until the last day, and I think I was getting new fights the last day. I just show up, and they’re like, here’s a new fight.”
Despite the chaos, O’Brian was quick to say that her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was something she loved. “I thought me being this kind of like newbie, they might, I don’t know, either ignore me or I would just feel out of place, but they just always made it as welcoming as possible. I was surprised by that environment,” said O’Brian.
Despite it serving as an origin story of sorts for Kang the Conqueror, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was extremely divisive upon its launch. The film received mostly mixed reviews from fans and critics alike.
In the year following its launch, the MCU would see a shake up of sorts, with Jonathan Majors being let go from his role as Kang, and Marvel looking to slow down their output in an effort to focus on quality.
