An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player built a cozy vacation home for the game's fashion-loving rabbit villager, Dotty. The residence was shared online, where it received a lot of warm compliments from other players.
Released in 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons tasks players with developing an abandoned island into their dream settlement. Many players of the hit Nintendo Switch exclusive have spent countless hours designing their islands, and a lot of that time was spent on building custom houses for the title's hundreds of unique villagers. One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player created a charming home for Dotty, a peppy villager that has been in the series since the very first Animal Crossing from 2001.
Reddit user Teriin shared their lovely vacation home for Dotty via a recent post on the site. Screenshots of the project showed that the outside of the residence featured bright flora and several rabbit-themed items, while the interior sported simple yet charming furniture. Community members complimented the vacation home Teriin created, calling the house amazing, beautiful, and cute. Teriin said they used custom Animal Crossing: New Horizons patterns in designing Dotty's home, specifically for the flooring.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are not limited to just creating houses in the game, and many have used the freedom the title provides to build all sorts of structures. One player, a Reddit user who goes by the name dreaming_of_utopia, created a pizzeria in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, complete with brick walls, ovens, and, of course, delicious-looking Italian flat bread topped with tomato sauce and cheese.
Another fan, a Redditor named dollisbaby, was seemingly swept up in the holiday spirit last December as they ended up creating a Christmas market on their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island.
