Andrew Garfield Crime Show Under The Banner of Heaven Premiere Date Set
Hulu's new crime series Under The Banner of Heaven starring Andrew Garfield has officially set a premiere date. The FX limited series is based on Jon Krakauer's book and recounts the infamous 1984 Lafferty murders that occurred in Utah. Garfield plays Detective Pyre, a devout Mormon who investigates the brutal crimes and comes into conflict with his faith as a result.
On Twitter, Hulu confirmed Under The Banner of Heaven will premiere on April 28. The TV mini-series consists of seven episodes which will be released weekly on the streaming platform. Written by Dustin Lance Black (Big Love), the show features an all-star cast, including Daisy Edgar-Jones, who plays Brenda Lafferty, as well as Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell.

Both Garfield and Edgar-Jones have been busy these last two years. The former is fresh off the box-office success of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical movie, Tick, tick...BOOM! Since her break-out role in Normal People, Edgar-Jones has participated in a steady stream of productions, one of them being the recently released comedy horror, Fresh, and the upcoming film, Where The Crawdads Sing.
