The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On participant Lauren Pounds is upset with the show for telling viewers she is 26 years old when she is actually 30. The new Netflix series dropped its first eight episodes on April 6, and fans are already loving the show. The premise follows six couples who are on different pages when it comes to getting married. One partner is ready to take the big step, while the other is not so sure. The significant other who is ready for marriage has issued an ultimatum: make the commitment or end the relationship. On the show, the couples must split up for three weeks and live with a partner from one of the other relationships to decide if their initial partner is really the one for them.
Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey claim a similar process worked for them, so they're encouraging contestants to do the same. One of the biggest disagreements between Lauren and her boyfriend, Nathan Ruggles, was that Lauren doesn't want to have kids, and Nathan does. At the beginning of episode 3, as participant Colby Kissinger was about to choose Lauren to live with him for three weeks, Nathan grew increasingly jealous and decided he must save his relationship by proposing. Before Lauren had the chance to determine if she also wanted to get to know Colby better, Nathan confessed his love and revealed he'd rather sacrifice having kids than be with anyone else.
