Amazon Games is all over the MMO genre at the moment, as its own in-house game New World: Aeternum releases for PS5 today just a few weeks after publishing Throne and Liberty. This one's a paid product rather than a free-to-play title like the latter, priced at £49.99 / $59.99 for the base game. The new console version features all the content that's been released for the PC version since its launch in 2021, including the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion and every seasonal update. Check out the launch trailer above.
In addition to all that content, New World: Aeternum on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S has been «fully optimized to look, feel and perform great on consoles, and debuts with radial menus, shift modifiers, and controller input presets, as well as toggles for target locking, aim assist, smart casting and more». It features cross-play with all systems and a «refined» levelling experience. In a press release, vice president Christoph Hartmann speaks to how players can either play alone or with up to four friends after listening to player feedback.
If you opt for the Deluxe Edition at £65.99 / $79.99, you'll also get a Corrupted Mauler Bear mount and the Corrupted Soul Armor skin. Are you interested in playing New World: Aeternum on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.

@Athrum It's a bit of a soft rerelease, since it was previously only available on PC. The new version comes with a bunch of new bells and whistles across all platforms to coincide with
