Call of Duty is in a bad way. Vanguard, Warzone, and Modern Warfare are both suffering from bugs and glitches that are making them hard to play, and at least one Activision staffer says that it’s all because of the company’s poor leadership.
The official Call of Duty Twitter account acknowledged player pain last week in a tweet. "We hear you, and we feel your frustrations," the tweet began. "Our teams are hard at work addressing the issues that are being experienced across Vanguard, Warzone, and Modern Warfare. Updates are being deployed as quickly as possible. We want everyone to have a seamless experience, no matter which game, game mode, or platform you play on."

Subsequent tweets noted several ongoing issues with Warzone, such as poor console performance, skins that turn players invisible, and an issue where using a buy station can lock up your game. Call of Duty: Vanguard has a similar list that's more focused on game balance for the recently released World War 2 shooter.
These are all issues that a development studio's QA staff would have picked up on, but Activision has been a support studio short for over a month now. Raven Software's entire QA team walked off the job last month after several people were let go from the already understaffed department. Combined with Activision's numerous scandals and the fact Raven's QA staff were promised full-time positions following a move to a new Wisconsin office, workers had finally had enough.
