She tried to take the situation into her own hands but slipped and got stuck in the tight crevice. She fell three meters into the opening and got stuck in the tight space between the two boulders. During the entire operation, NSW Ambulance rescue paramedic Peter Watts told the news outlet that Campbell was calm and composed despite the gruesome situation. Panicking in such a situation could make the rescue difficult for the teams, and any sudden movements or any wrong move could slide the person further down into the crevice.
Peter Watts also stated that it was an "out-of-the-box rescue" and unlike anything he had experienced before. NSW Ambulance has shared images of the entire rescue operation on Facebook. The rescue operation was quite difficult as the team had to remove seven heavy boulders weighing between 80 and 500
