The following article contains mild spoilers from Chapter 2 of 9.2's main story campaign. 9.2 is here, the Jailer and his forces have invaded Zereth Mortis, and the race is on to stop Zovaal from gaining access to ultimate power in the Sepulcher of the First Ones. Besides his Mawsworn and a dominated Anduin Wrynn, the Jailer has brought a particularly powerful enemy with him as part of this invasion — Dreadlords. In the second chapter of Secrets of the First Ones — 9.2's main storyline, we encounter two named Dreadlords that should be known to us already.
Kin'tessaKin'tessa is a Dreadlord that we first met in Korthia, during the side-questline They Could Be Anyone. While investigating the disappearance of a Korthia's Fatescribe, Roh-Kalo, players came across Korthian Keeper who claimed to also be concerned about the Fatescribe. The Keeper was really Kin'tessa in disguise, and she tricked us into leading her directly to Roh-Kalo, who had been hiding from his Dreadlord pursuers. Thanks to our mistake, Fatescribe Roh-Kalo was delivered to the Jailer and Dominated. We eventually faced and killed the unfortunate Fatescribe during the Sanctum of Domination raid. Mal'GanisA Dreadlord that should really need no introduction, Mal'Ganis has a long and important history with the world of Azeroth that reaches all the way back to the events of Warcraft III. Back then, he was charged with corrupting Arthas Menethil. He accomplished this by taking advantage of Arthas's Pride, constantly goading the Prince until he was prepared to do whatever it takes to defeat the Dreadlord. It was Mal'Ganis who lead Arthas
