Director Colin Trevorrow opens up about Duel of the Fates — his planned Star Wars 9 film. The filmmaker was originally hired to helm the sequel trilogy capper following J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson's respective stints. Unfortunately, while he was in the middle of writing the script for Star Wars 9, it was announced that he would exit the project due to creative differences. This forced Lucasfilm to scramble for a replacement, which they ultimately found in Abrams.
