The official art book for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has seemingly been leaked online.
Although the game is still some three months away from release, Reddit user JustJulienOffic posted images on Sunday claiming that a friend had sent them “an interesting look” at its art book.
The book will be included with the Collector’s Edition of the game, and according to the user is “a little over 200 pages” in length.
While the user’s original post has since been removed by Reddit moderators, others still remain and the now-deleted images are currently being circulated on social media and other forums.
The images show concept art of Link and other characters in the game (including some new faces), as well as artwork of some new enemies and locations.
If proven to be genuine, the leak will be frustrating for Nintendo, which historically has taken great pains to keep the content of its games secret before they’re released.
After a number of delays, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will finally be released on Nintendo Switch on May 12.
In addition to the standard version, which will be available at a suggested retail price of $69.99, the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition will release at a suggested retail price of $129.99, and includes a physical version of the game, the art book, a Steelbook case, an Iconart steel poster and a set of four pin badges.
Nintendo has suggested that the tone of Tears of the Kingdom will be darker than before. Trailers certainly back that up with their eerie backwards music and creepy monsters.
