Now, Konami has revealed that an upcoming update will add one of the fanbase's most highly requested features.
While Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has seen enormous popularity since its launch, one point of criticism regularly levied against the game is the lack of variety in online game modes. Players have seen limited options for playing online against other players with the game only supporting Ranked duels, user-made Duel Rooms, and any currently-running event. Fans have been calling for Master Duel to introduce a casual queue for months for players looking for a more laid-back experience. Now, Konami has officially revealed Master Duel's next update will finally introduce a Casual queue.

A post on Monday to the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Twitter revealed some of the content coming to Master Duel in its next update, with the long-awaited Casual Match feature being a highlight. The new Casual queue will feature no effect on a player's rank, with the mode's description encouraging players to «build an innovative deck,» emphasizing the less serious nature of Master Duel's casual mode. The update will also include quality-of-life features like setting cut-in animations for certain cards to only play once per duel and adjusting daily missions.
