Like any other Bethesda game, Starfield has a whole lot of mods. In fact, less than a year since launch, it's already amassed around 7,300 mods, installed 42.6 million times on Nexus Mods. That might be a far cry from the literal billions of Skyrim downloads, but it's not bad going.
Now, a YouTuber has put these mods to good use, creating a whole new game in Starfield. Using more than 100 mods, YouTuber DeityVengy turns Starfield into a Star Wars game, overhauling the game's characters and aesthetics to better fit a galaxy far, far away.
Kudos to fellow content creator, Rebs Gaming, for spotting this and sharing it on Twitter, because goddamn, this looks the part. Almost everything on-screen is overhauled by the various mods being used here, completely transforming Starfield into a Star Wars experience.
In the video, we can see the player take down iconic Star Wars enemies, and even visit locations inspired by the series. The whole time, they're playing as a Mandalorian, complete with the shiny armour and jetpack.
If you're planning to mod the hell out of Starfield yourself, be careful - it's still receiving fairly frequent updates from Bethesda . When the next one rolls around, you may have to wait until your mods have been updated to continue playing.
As you can expect, there's a whole lot going on here. DeityVengy thankfully provides us with a list of all the mods they used at the end of the video, so you can recreate it yourself. We even have a list of the most essential mods you'll need, so you can keep the mod count lower if you're looking for a more basic experience:
However, the best part of all of this is that the track you can hear at the beginning of the video is the Ebon Hawk background music from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2. This is otherwise known as the best Star Wars game there is (at least according to me), so it's a great choice.
But if modding isn't for you, then fret not. Starfield is getting a DLC later this year
