Google’s YouTube Music is trying hard to stand out from the competition. Throughout the months of February and March, YouTube Music has added a host of new upgrades. And this update series continues! Very recently, YouTube music added a number of features for iPhone and Android devices. Though, the biggest upgrade looks to target discovering new music features which directly applies to Song Radio and playlist auto mixes.
The YouTube community manager Hazel Satamkar said on a Google support page about the improving artist diversity in Song and Playlist audio, "We’ve read your feedback and concerns with Song Radio (and playlist auto mixes) and our teams are committed to improving this experience for listeners on YouTube Music. Keeping this in mind, we’ve made changes that increase artist diversity in these playlists – by improving the back-end logic that nominates the music that shows up in them." He further mentioned an increase in likes and song discovery from these playlists. Though, there are a couple of other new features and upgrades. Here’s what’s all-new in your YouTube Music app.
YouTube Music has shared all details about the new updated features in a blog post. Of course, the highlighted one is the discovering new music feature. So, now when you click on the three-dot icon, you will get a new "shelf" that will show the user's most recently modified playlists as well as the "Your likes" playlist. While the rest of the playlists will be listed in alphabetical order.
There is another update, especially for YouTube Music on Smart TVs and games consoles that will remove the duplicate videos from the "Listen again" option. Earlier, there was an error that was playing the same music again. But now that is fixed.
What else?
