It's almost time for another foray into the Real Housewives multiverse as The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 approaches. Season 1 presented viewers with a fresh, more meta look at the franchise as ladies from Atlanta, New York, Beverly Hills, and New Jersey jetted off to Turks and Caicos. Now, Peacock is set to bring back a stellar mix of ex-housewives for a new season of fun and chaos.
Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Cynthia Bailey, Luann de Lesseps, Kenya Moore, Kyle Richards, and Ramona Singer made up the cast of RHUGT season 1. It was a dynamic group of women, and viewers were, for the most part, entertained by the seven-episode season, which aimed to trial a new way of viewing the Real Housewives franchise. Ramona was put under the microscope for some of her behavior, a surprising friendship was formed between Kenya and Melissa, and some new connections, including one between Cynthia and Teresa, blossomed. The season 2 cast is made up of ex-cast members of the franchise, a bold decision by producers that will undoubtedly pay off.

All too often, Real Housewives cast members have left (or even been fired from) their respective shows amidst epic feuds and high tension. Bringing back an entire cast of ex-housewives gives them the opportunity to come back into the spotlight and with new drama. Instead of a glimmering island with sun and sand like RHUGT season 1, the backdrop for season 2 will be at former The Real Housewives of New York City alum Dorinda Medley's Bluestone Manor. Fans will be all too familiar with the location as countless dramas occurred under its roof between the women for seven seasons.
