Yellowjackets star Christina Ricci responds to some fan theories about the show's upcoming season 2. Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets became an overnight sensation for Showtime, amassing a large online following and quickly becoming one of the most talked-about shows of the year. Yellowjackets follows a high school girls' soccer team who are left stranded in the wilderness after a plane crash in 1996, as well as the adult survivors 25 years later, coping with the various traumas of their shared experience. Yellowjackets' numerous plot twists have given way to rampant theorizing from the show's fans, with many trying to put together what might happen in season 2. The creators have confirmed that the writing process for season 2 has begun, with plans for five seasons in total.

In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ricci responds to some popular Yellowjackets fan theories. She agrees with the theory that her character, Misty, is a serial killer, citing the bunker in her house and her poisoning of Jessica as evidence. She denies, however, that Misty was responsible for the plane crash, saying that she seemed as "surprised" as anyone else that the plane was falling. She also denies that Jackie (Ella Purnell) is alive after the season 1 finale, saying, “She froze to death. We saw it.” Read her quote below:
