Xiaomi 12S smartphone series launch is confirmed to take place on July 4. The smartphone company has officially revealed the name of its next flagship series that will arrive with Leica powered cameras. Lei Jun, Founder and CEO, Xiaomi has confirmed the news via a tweet on Monday. He has also shared a teaser of the Xiaomi 12S smartphone featuring a giant camera lens. However, the model name has been kept under wraps.
Xiaomi announced its collaboration with Leica for its smartphone cameras a few months back, and the upcoming series will be the first to feature the same. The teaser shared by Lei Jun looks like an Ultra phone. The Xiaomi 12S will be the successor to last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in the market.

The new series will come in three models- Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro and Xiaomi 12S ultra. While Xiaomi 12S is expected to be the regular flagship, Xiaomi 12S Pro will replace the Xiaomi 12 Pro in the market and the 12S Ultra will come with Leica on the imaging front.
As per the reportes, Xiaomi 12S Ultra might arrive with a QHD+ AMOLED display supported by 120Hz refresh rate and an LTPO panel. It is expected to rely on the new Snapdragon 8 Gen+ 1 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and offer 512GB storage. The battery power is speculated to be 4800mAh supported by 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
