Official Fallout creation tools are now available in the Xbox Design Lab, letting fans create custom Xbox Wireless Controllers fit for the wasteland.
Revealed on Xbox Wire, fans can choose the Fallout shell in the Xbox Design Lab and customise it with different coloured buttons and thumb sticks. The Fallout controller has a base white colour and is decorated with dozens of Vault Boy designs inspired by the series' perk icons, with one full colour version holding his own controller in the bottom right.
"This Fallout-themed controller is a heartfelt tribute to the iconic character from the series we all adore, Vault Boy, showcasing each of his unique S.P.E.C.I.A.L. traits," Xbox said. "Secure your spot in the wasteland and get your hands on this epic addition to your gaming arsenal today."
While the controller shell is locked in place, fans can change the colours of the face buttons, D-Pad, thumb sticks, bumpers, and triggers. The Xbox button is decorated black and gold.
Xbox often creates custom controllers, though most of them are just competition prizes and not actually available for sale like these ones. A Dune: Part 2 special edition console came with a floating gamepad, for example. Other Xbox Series X and S generation highlights include red and blue fluffy Sonic the Hedgehog gamepads, one made out of actual Jade, and even an edible gamepad.
Its more regular line of controllers include the sexy Gold Shadow, cosmic Stellar Shift, dusty Stormcloud Vapor, and even an Earth Day one made partly from recycled CDs, water jugs, and other Xbox controller parts.
