Wrecked brings the slasher genre to the seas in the first look at the upcoming BBC comedy horror. The series stars Oscar Kennedy as stowaway Jamie, who sneaks onboard a cruise ship called The Sacramentum to locate his missing sister. Described as a tense comedy, with a sprinkle of the slasher genre mixed in for good measure, Wrecked will see Jamie go detective as he hunts for his sister amongst the eclectic crew of The Sacramentum, all while avoiding a series of grizzly murders. Kennedy is joined on his dangerous voyage by Jack Rowan, Harriet Webb, and The Irregulars' Thaddea Graham.

Shared by the BBC, the first images from Wrecked reveal a bloody adventure ahead for the crew of The Sacramentum. The shots show the main cast in action, with an image of a bloodied Graham and Kennedy teasing the tense drama to come. In perhaps the most intriguing image out of the set, one particular shot shows Jodie Tyack's Pippa hiding behind a porthole, as the reflection of a costume-clad pursuer looks on menacingly. Check out the images below:
The shot of Tyack facing off with what looks like a mascot-wearing assailant is perhaps the most striking of all the images and lends well to the show promising to blend comedy with tense horror. Wrecked will join a series of increasingly impressive shows to come from UK soil to mix both the macabre and humor, with hit BBC One series Ghosts recently earning itself a US adaption. With a strong pedigree of young, talented Brits taking the lead, Wrecked has all the makings of a great, quirky horror.
