A few months back, SCS Software revealed that the next state coming to American Truck Simulator‘s growing world map would be none other than Montana, the Treasure State. Similar to recent expansions like Idaho and Colorado, Montana is a big state with lots of beautifully untouched scenery due to its smaller population. SCS shined a light on some of that scenery in its latest news update on Montana’s progress.
SCS listed a handful of settlements in Montana that players will be able to drive to and through in American Truck Simulator, such as Bozeman, Kalispell, Laurel and Sidney. These settlements are located all over the state, with some in the mountains, along routes that lead to various national parks, or alongside major rivers and other prominent natural features.
Indeed, Montana is a state that boasts a lot of natural beauty, and players will have the chance to experience these various pieces of unspoiled scenery as they shunt cargo up, down, and around the state. Since the Montana map will connect to both the Idaho and Colorado maps, exploring areas like Yellowstone National Park and other major points of interest should feel even more inviting.
In this same news update, SCS namedropped the state of North Dakota in reference to how Montana’s city of Sidney is not too far from the Montana-North Dakota border.
This is a geographical fact, but it could potentially be a minuscule hint regarding the next expansion for American Truck Simulator. Of course, we do know for a fact that Texas is the next map that’s in production, and SCS has already shown off a bit of that.
