The world’s first Bitcoin City is coming into reality! Nayib Bukele, the President of El Salvador, the smallest country in Central America, has officially released the map of the first Bitcoin city which is under construction right now. Not just the first map, but the President also took on a mini visual trip to the Bitcoin City through first glimpses of the ‘golden bitcoin city’. From an aerial view, greenery, sea to a beautiful lookout in the volcano, the Bitcoin City has everything.
The Bitcoin city was first announced back in November 2021, during President Nayib Bukele's speech at the Latin Bitcoin conference (LaBitConf) and now within the six months, we finally have the first glimpses of the Bitcoin City. This will be built near the Conchagua volcano on the Gulf of Fonseca in the southeast of the Central American country.
The golden structure of the city including the detailed landmarks, airports, and more have been depicted through the design of the city. But don't misunderstand Bitcoin City as a city made of gold metal! Bukele clarified, "And no, the city won’t be made up of golden metal; that is just the architect’s choice of color for the scale model. The actual city will be mostly green (trees) and blue (sea).” He also shared the mesmerizing views of Bitcoin city's airport and landmarks.
