One lucky fan is getting some pretty high praise for their Harley Quinn art. A work posted on Twitter by artist Jordan Gibson was retweeted by one of the clowning criminal's co-creators.
Harley Quinn was an original character that first appeared in Batman: The Animated Series and was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. The character became an instant hit among fans of the show and before long, Harley became a full-fledged member of the DC Universe. Since her promotion to comic book canon, Harley has remained a fan favorite and her popularity has only grown. Once simply the sidekick to the Joker, Harley Quinn has broken free and had multiple series, team-up books and even partnered with the Justice League. Harley Quinn is even an official member of the Bat-Family! Harley has absolutely rocketed to fame in her comparatively short time and it seems like fans just can't get enough of her zany adventures. Jordan Gibson, for example, honored Pride Month on Twitter with a post containing the message "a quick drawing of my favorite disaster bi lady for Pride: Harley Quinn!" along with an image of Harley in a cute cartoon style. The art features Harley in her classic jester outfit, the same costume popularized by Batman: The Animated Series. The tweet actually caught the attention of series writer and Harley Quinn's co-creator Paul Dini. Dini retweeted the image on his personal Twitter account with the phrase "How chawmin'!", a reference to the character's iconic Brooklyn accent.
